Most projects still use traditional 230V phase-cut dimmers and dimmable LED drivers to dim low voltage LED strips.
Wrong. Forget it.
LEDs are energy-efficient. They run on DC voltage. Adding unnecessary conversions not only wastes energy but results in an operation that is far from ideal.
